With transport cost is key.  If what you make can't be delivered for a reasonable cost, it won't sell.  That is where the use of pipelines comes in.  Transport by pipeline is recognized as the cheapest form of transportation - able to beat road, rail and even ships by some considerable margin.  

With pipeline transport there are also great efficiencies gained in labour savings.  Road, rail and ships require many people to be involved and alert whereever they are being used.  Whereas pipelines don't have traffic to get caught in or leaves on the line or stuck in queues of ships after weeks at sea.  They simply shift goods day after day and night after night.  24/7.  

The issue to date with intercontinental pipelines was cost and engineering complexity.  Now with the Tyn X FUP the issues are removed and the barriers to cost effective and green transport are replaced with the solution.
